We are a chef-led catering company inspired by seasonal ingredients, mindful hospitality, and purposeful menu design. Whether hosting a social gathering, wedding, or corporate event, we create balanced, visually considered menus delivered with calm, seamless service.

Where Our Story Begins

Our journey didn't start in a boardroom; it started in the kitchen of our small, bustling Port Coquitlam cafe in 2018. For seven years, we were a beloved local neighborhood spot, known for serving healthy, intention-driven food that made everyone feel at home. What began as small lunch orders for regulars evolved into a passion for larger-scale storytelling through food. In 2025, we made the conscious decision to close the cafe doors and evolve fully into catering and events.

Today, we take that same 'simple and honest' approach to weddings, film sets, and corporate events across the lower mainland. We've traded our daily brunch rush for the artistry of bespoke menus, but our mission remains the same: to provide vibrant, high-quality food that feels just as good as it tastes.

The Yoga Chef offers relaxed, well-thought-out catering for gatherings of all kinds, from corporate events to celebrations around the table. We cook with care, keep things visually clean and beautiful, and let the food speak for itself. The Yoga Chef came from two worlds that might seem different at first, but actually have a lot in common. Founder & Chef, Stephanie Cowie spent over twenty years working as a professional cook, including a decade in Fairmont Hotels kitchens, where precision, consistency, and high standards were part of everyday life.

Stephanie learned how to cook under pressure, care deeply about the details, and deliver food that feels seamless from start to finish. At the same time, Stephanie was drawn to yoga, not as a trend, but as a way to slow down and reconnect with how we treat our bodies.

Over time, it became clear that food and yoga speak the same language. Both are about balance, presence, and feeling good. Thoughtful, simple choices make all the difference. After cooking and teaching abroad, The Yoga Chef was created to bring those ideas together. We take the care and professionalism learned in fine dining and apply it to food that's vibrant, nourishing, and uncomplicated.
